Tour Our Facilities
Apart from a visit to our location, the best way to visualize
your stay is to view a few perspectives on our facilities: the
Great Room, Blue Room, Green Room, Pink Room, Dining Room, Kitchen,
Deck and Yard, and Surroundings. Please

| The Great Room |
Our spacious Great Room is able to accommodate large groups and a variety of activities.
It is furnished with a grand piano, a select library, huge stone fireplace,
leather sofas, a window seat, throw pillows, and plenty of extra arm chairs.
Adding to the roominess are a cathedral ceiling with an overlook from the second floor
balcony and a wall of windows with marvelous views of local mountains and our pond.
The room is also a great place to host a musical quartet. Additional flair is
added to the Great Room with the foyer and our sweeping staircase, which provides
for dramatic staging. On the opposite side are three doors shared in the open
space with the Dining Room to provide access to a deck large enough for a big dance.

| The Blue Suite |
Two extra-long twin beds with extra comfortable
mattresses will welcome you into our Blue Suite. Your restful stay is anticipated
with extra pillows, both polyfill and down comforters, and a spacious closet.
The sitting room area is furnished with
a queen-sized sleep sofa, recliner, closet and desk, minifrig with Vermont
cheddar cheese and fresh fruit, crackers and snacks on the desk, a filled
candy bowl for nibbling, television with satellite reception, and a DVD player.
Our handicapped-design shower, with a shower chair and an oversized sink
is equipped with all toiletries and a hair dryer. There is also a bed
for you animals and an iron with ironing board. Wake up and see the mountains
or watch the sun set across the pond through the windows in the comforts
of your room. The Blue Suite is located at the end of a private wing.

| The Green Room |
An antique queen-size bed graces one end of this oversized room while an elegant sitting room appoints the other.
Entertain yourself during restful moments with our television and
satellite reception, DVD player, and VCR player. Circle windows located high
on the west side add charm and
let in more light.
A large window on the room's
left side opens to a view of grass and trees sweeping away,
and there are dormer roof windows on either end of the space.
The south side is comleted with a window seat for your viewing pleasure.
Private bath with double sink and tub/shower combo, toiletries,
iron and ironing board, and hair dryer.
Enjoy this private location upstairs at the end of the hall.

| The Pink Suite |
Our Pink Suite is a self-contained respite with queen size bed, roomy closet,
extra pillows, down and polyfill comforters,
a bed for animals, TV with satellite reception, and in the sitting room area
you will find a desk and second closet. Among the accouterments of the sitting room are a sleep sofa, a recliner, a Satellite TV and DVD/CD player. You will
Enjoy abundant bathroom comforts with tub/shower combo, two sinks, and toilet plus bidet. Full amenities and
toiletries for your convenience include a minifrig in which
you will find complimentary Vermont Cheddar Cheese, sodas, and chocolates. On the coffee table you will find complimentary fresh fruit and snacks. There are also an
ironing board, shampoo, hand lotion,
hair dryer, spare toothbrush and toothpaste, disposable razor and shaving foam.
The room is located downstairs at the end of a private wing, and when you
wake up you can look out on the trees or enjoy the bright abundance of windows.

| The Dining Room |
The Dining Room offers plenty of room for comfortable dining for parties large and small.
We have two tables with multiple leaves, which can extend to seat 34 people.
This room is open to the Great Room for an easy flow of people during parties and meetings.
We have dishes, glasses and silverware for 60 so small to midsize groups won't need to rent.
Also at hand are serving bowls and platters, table cloths, vases, candlesticks.
Breakfast is flexible as to time and will be custom-made according to your desires.
Supper is available to B&B guests for $10.00 per person per night. Catered meals for non-guests are negotiated. |
| The Kitchen |
Our Kitchen is fully eqipped with a five-foot Garland double oven stove,
providing six burners and a 24 inch griddle in an island.
We are ready for the largest occasions with two sink areas, two dishwashers,
lots of counter space, food preparation eqipment, coffee makers, and
full complement of pots and pans. |
| Deck and Yard |
|
Our deck is suitable for holding large parties, accommodating
informal business functions and workshops, and of course providing
a quiet
and relaxing westward view at the end of the day. Stroll around
our yard, or strike out further if you are more adventurous.

In the yard is a Gazebo with a wood burning stove, chaise,
table and chairs, supply
island, mini-frig, rocking chair, and a deck over the pond
with deck chairs. You may swim in the pond at your own risk,
or try skating during the cold of winter. Children must be supervised.
The pond does contain fish, but no fishing is allowed.

| Surroundings |
|
We are located in prime Green Mountain Country in Central Vermont.
We are within easy access of several trailheads, including the
Long/Appalachian Trails, and there is plenty of rural roadway
for a cool country drive. Balm of Gilead also offers its own
private acreage for more local
explorations and walks.
We are within reach of all the major sections of Vermont, located at
what is called the "crossroads of Vermont" with five intersecting
roadways that will allow you to easily follow any direction of
the compass. Welcome to our respite and we hope you enjoy your
stay.
